Glan Aber Hotel

Gorphwysfa House Bed and Breakfast

Gorphwysfa House is a privately run beautiful detached stone built property dated around 1820 in the world famous village of Betws-y-Coed North Wales. Situated on the A5on the west end side of the villagewith views of the Gwydyr Forest and river Llugwy.We have beautiful gardens to front and rear and a model G scale garden railway. It’s just a 12 minute stroll to the centre of the villagewhich has a good selection of shops and restaurants. The first restaurant is just 3 minutes away.All our rooms have been professionally decorated to a very high standard and although not over largethey are extremely cosywith flat screen TV and a good selection beverage tray.We have four rooms – One king size doubleor twin and 2 double rooms all have a small en-suite.Our single room has it’s own private bathroomjust 3 steps away from the room (and not shared)The Guest lounge and dining room provides TV and plenty of reading material.At breakfast your meal will be prepared by Colin who for over 43 + years has been a professional baker and confectioner.All our preservesscones and bara-brith are home made and available for you to sample at breakfast time.We have lock-up storage for your bikes and the luxuary of private parking on our land or you can easily park in the side road.Our garden is available to you during your stay. Ty Gwyn Hotel

Close to the restaurants shops and the train station.There are 7 en-suite bedrooms. Doubles familytwin and a single room. For those looking for something a little special we have a four poster and luxury king-size rooms. There is a comfortable lounge with a real coal fire and all the guest rooms are furnished to a high standard with colour flat screen TV free Wi-Fi access tea and coffee making facilities complimentary toiletries radio alarms and hair dryers. All of the bedrooms have views of the surrounding wooded hills and some of the bedrooms still have their original Victorian fireplaces.We have free car parking bike storage and drying room facilities.

Dragon Restaurant and BnB

The Dragon Restaurant and BnB offers 10 rooms in total four of which are in the original part of the building and six in the chalet style extension with their own access outside. All the rooms have been recently re-decorated and all have en-suite shower rooms remote controlled coloured TV’s and Tea and Coffee facilities. Most rooms have a view of the river Llygwy and Clogwyn Cyrau Mountain. All rooms are non-smoking including the restaurant and bar area.The Dragon Restaurant B ‘n B offers excellent food and wine that are both local and foreign with our staff who are always friendly and welcoming. In both the Restaurant and the Bar visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes offered in our Al a Carte Menu and specials board. Also available is our Banquet for two persons or more. With such a long and impressive history it is pleasing to find this charming hotel oozing with Character and tradition. The cosy and welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by the exposed stonewall fire and an old black cooking range in the restaurant. Legend has it that behind the large stone fireplace was a Priest’s hide hole where they were alleged to be hiding from Cromwell’s Men.
