Ridley’s Residence

Ridley’s Residence (formerly a vicarage) is a distinctive granite built house in its own grounds.It has an attractive quiet stream-side location with a summer house and adjacent camping site and is central to most of North Wales’ attractions. Approx 50 mins from the north coast 30 mins from the west coast and approximately an hour to Snowdon. The National White Water and Rafting centre is 5 mins away by car. This location has many approved walks for ramblers and is close to local attractions such as: Quad Biking (Llangwm) 4×4 Adventure (Bala) Mountain Biking (Coed y Brenin) Ape man (Tree ropes) at Coed y Brenin and Llandrillo as well as leisure and sailing facilities at Bala Lake. Also excellent for fishing (River DeeBrenig Dam and Llyn Celyn). Conveneint for those competing in Triathlon and Road Cycling competitions at Bala and close to a number of Steam railways. We have ample parking and secure storage for bikes and a drying room for canoeists. A static caravan is also available separately or in conjunction with the house accommodation which can also be self-catering. Free Wi-Fi. Pen Isar LLan Bunk House

The Bunk House is ideal for school groups colleagues professionals celebrations or groups of friends who want to explore the area. The Bunk House sleeps up to 22 people and is equipped with all the necessities from Cooker crockery etc Dishwasher TV DVD SKY. We provide all your bedding so yes all you need to bring with you is your towel and toothbrush. The accommodation comprises two dorms one which sleeps 14 and the other sleeps 8. Booking is only ever on a ‘Sole Occupancy’ basis.Please note that the charges are for a minimum charge number of 12 people. Pen-Isar Llan

Pen-isa’r-llan is a beautiful traditional stone welsh farmhouse dating back over 400 years and set in 7 acres of rolling farm land. The house has been lovingly restored ensuring that our guests are comfortable and can benefit from all the modern facilities but ensuring that the charm and original features from exposed beams to slate flooring can be enjoyed and admired by all. Here at Pen-isa’r-llan we provide a variety of accommodation ranging from BandB Bunk House to Self Catering Cottages. We cater for families couples individuals and large groups. We welcome young children and will do our best to provide you with the things you might need. Dogs are also welcome. We have storage space for canoe’s boats and bikes. The area of Bala has a colourful Welsh history filled with legend and folklore. One legend has it that there is a lost palace beneath the lake. Diving swimming fishing boating and all forms of water sports are now the most common activities on the lake and no-one has yet confirmed the legend…but maybe one day. Bala is rich in Welsh culture and attracts walkers cyclists anglers golfers artists bird-watchers and people indulging in all manner of traditional rural country pursuits. This is also an exceptional place for those studying geology.

Here at Tair Felin we have 2 lettings one double bedroom and one twin-bedded room both with hand basins set in vanity units along with a shared bathroom for the guests only. Both of these rooms have radio alarm clocks tea and coffee making facilities. There is a beamed lounge with an open log fire in the winter All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished. Your breakfast is served in a cosy dining room with separate guest tables. A hearty traditional cooked breakfast or lighter option–the choice is yours. Homemade preserves and local produce are used. This is a non-smoking property. A Food and Hygiene certificate is held by the host a warm welcome is assured on arrival and during your stay. Both Welsh and English are spoken by the family.
